Greatness
I was just invited to a “lay it all on” day at the races for Oaks Day during Melbourne Cup week in Melbourne when I had an insight. It was alcohol induced, but an insight nonetheless.
A cool statue of Makybe Diva is now immortalised on the lawns on Flemington so I stopped to grab a pic. Standing next to this amazing creature, you can’t help but be in awe of her greatness. The greatest ever winning Melbourne Cup horse!!!
Where am I going with this…
If you want to be inspired, if you want greater results in your life – you need to hang out with winners.
Greatness rubs off on people. Just being around a statue, a person, a location where great battles were won, allows your mind to visualise and absorb what it must have felt like.
It’s a bit like hanging around a great mentor who influences the way you think and feel just by being around them.

My ONLY comment is: “Why the Hell didn’t you let me know you were going to be there Mate,” I would gladly have met you there, I could even have turned up in much the same Clobber! “oh o” busted!!! It was a fly in fly out visit hosted by Flexirent Australia who flew me in. Had a blast though. Back in Melbourne in a couple of weeks. See you then Dad.
